The CGCA Annual General Meeting and President's Evening
will be held on 12th June 2017 will see Dame Judith Hackitt
present a review of her first year as President of the
Association. The meeting will start at 17:30 in the Queen's
Tower Rooms, Sherfield Building, South Kensington campus.
Refreshments will be available in the room from 17:00.
The short AGM will be followed by an open discussion session
about the future structure for Alumni organisations for the
Faculty of Engineering. Both RSMA and CGCA are
expereincing low numbers of new members and it is often
said to be because 'Mines' and 'C&GC' are not relevant /
understood by current students.
There is no need to book to attend the AGM and Discussion but if want to attend the Supper please
book a ticket at EventBrite by selecting the button below.
Any new structure must address this while at the same time preserving the traditions and history
of CGCA. Dame Judith will start by updating us on discussions so far with RSMA, Imperial and the
Faculty then open the discussion to the floor so please come along and express your ideas.
The discussion will be followed by a hot supper.
The AGM and keynote talk are free, however the supper will be £34.50 per head, (£24 for current
students) including food, wine, soft drinks, tea or coffee.
At the AGM the CGCA Officers for 2017 - 18 will be elected. If you wish to stand for any of the posts
please email CGCA Hon Sec Nigel Cresswell at email@example.com
Please note that by attending the AGM and Supper you agree that any official photographs or
videos taken can be used by CGCA in on-line and paper publications and realise that some of these
are publically available.
